Every rewire is surveyed and priced on its own merits. Echo Electrical undertakes full and partial rewires in occupied and empty properties, as well as extensions, renovations, commercial refurbishments and developer-led projects.
The first site visit is used to understand your requirements, assess the existing installation and establish what is feasible before a detailed estimate is prepared.

How the project works
A structured route from survey to certification
Larger projects are provided as detailed estimates based on the expected labour, materials and agreed scope. Where hidden conditions or later changes affect the work, these are discussed before proceeding.

Site survey
Requirements, access, existing condition and feasibility are reviewed in person.

Design and estimate
Circuits, outlets, lighting and controls are planned and a detailed estimate is prepared.

First and second fix
Cabling and containment are installed, followed by accessories, fittings and final connections.

Testing and handover
The installation is inspected and tested, with certification and notification provided where required.
Occupied properties
Practical planning to reduce disruption
Rewiring inevitably requires access to walls, ceilings, floors and existing finishes. For occupied homes, the sequence of work and temporary power requirements are considered during planning so essential areas can be managed as sensibly as possible.
Making good
Plastering, decorating and fine finishing are excluded unless specifically included in the estimate. Making-good work can be priced separately, and likely disruption will be explained before work begins wherever reasonably possible.

Before you book
Do you rewire occupied properties?
Yes. Echo Electrical undertakes rewires in both occupied and empty properties. The programme and access arrangements are discussed during the site survey.
Are plastering and decorating included?
Plastering, decorating and fine finishing are excluded unless they are specifically included in the written estimate. Making-good can be priced separately.
Can temporary power be provided?
Yes, temporary power can be arranged during larger rewires where required and practical.
What certification is provided?
Completed work is inspected and tested and an Electrical Installation Certificate is issued. Building Regulations notification is completed where required.
